The most memorable concert I ever went to was Bon Jovi playing in Central Park in
July of 2008. It was awesome getting to see the band perform out under the stars in the middle of Central Park. Everyone in the park was on their feet dancing and singing along. It was an amazing experience.

Ironically, I actually have a cold right now. I took some Tylenol cold medicine (the multi-symptom kind) and that has helped somewhat. I also drank Chamomile tea with a bit of milk, honey and sugar in it for my sore throat. That helped immensely. It soothed my sore throat and made me feel a bit better in general. I'm still not 100%, but I'm getting there.

I volunteered in the Animal Sanctuary at The Science Center of CT (now called the Children's Museum of CT) for the summer when I was 15. My first paying job, though, was at the local JCC's childcare center when I was 16. I started working at their summer program as a fulltime assistant counselor and then became a part time assistant teacher during the school year.

I'm not generally the meme type, but I saw this on FB and thought it was kinda cool.  I thought it might be interesting to bring it over to LJ (though it is probably already going around on here and I just haven't seen it).  I'm sure many of you have already filled this out or have at least seen it.

As promised, here are some of the pictures I took of the street flooding outside my house.

We just had a storm here that lasted about an hour (give or take). It rained so hard that the street flooded in front of my house. It flooded over the grass, completely covering it, and mostly flooded the sidewalk as well. It also flooded almost a third of the way up my driveway. I took some pictures which I am uploading to photobucket right now. I'll post them here a bit later. I think the lightening from the storm caused a fire or downed a powerline somewhere nearby, too. When I went outside to take pictures I could smell something burning and the people across the street said they could see smoke. I also heard sirens that I assume was a fire engine. I'm sure there will be something about it on the news later.

Back when I was 12 or 13 there was a black out in the middle of winter that lasted almost four days. All the food in the refrigerator and freezer went bad. It was freezing and I had to do my homework and read by candle light (also, no tv or radio). It was a horrible 4 days.

Last Friday I went to see My Sister's Keeper. It was a pretty good movie and one of the very few chick flicks I have ever actually wanted to see.

I usually listen to music on Pandora.com. I have discovered a lot of new music to add to my own collection there. I really love the site.

I loved the Ren and Stimpy show as a kid (still kinda do), but I never realized how creepy it was until recently when I re-watched a couple episodes. I still found it funny but also truly disturbing at the same time. I'm surprised they showed that on a kid's network (even if it was on after most young children were in bed).

I mostly use the landline at home because we have unlimited long distance for a flat rate, so I can call any of my friends who are scattered around the country and talk as long as I want without worrying about going over my minutes (even though I don't use the phone very often anyway). I mostly only use my cellphone when I am out of the house.

I would like to find a job this month. Being unemployed and nearly broke is not fun. Suckage major.

There was never an accident like that for me, but a situation that could have potentially had that outcome had it happened differently. I am epileptic and on medication. There have been a couple times when my doctor thought I was ok to go off the meds and both times within two years I had a grand mal seizure and wound up in the hospital and back on the meds. The last time it happened was seven years ago. It was around 6:30 in the morning and I was leaving for work. I had just gotten in the car and turned it on and was just about to put it in reverse (but thankfully hadn't yet) when the seizure hit. If it had happened even five minutes later I would have already pulled out and been on the road. I probably would have wound up causing a big accident that would have injured or killed myself and/or other people. I was really lucky that it happened the way it did.

I am very happy and excited (as my mood clearly states) right now. Why you ask? Well, it's because I got a package in the mail today that carried two items I have been waiting months for. The first item is the new Supernatural graphic novel Rising Son. I loved Origin and I am looking forward to reading Rising Son now. After flipping through the book I can say that the artwork is just as amazing as (if not moreso) Origin's was. The next and even more exciting (to me, anyway) is the newly released DVD (released yesterday, but I preordered it months ago) of My Bloody Valentine 3D. I saw this in the theater on opening day back in January and knew I was going to have to own it when it when it finally came out. Sadly, there is no way to watch digital 3D (which is how I saw it in the theater) on a television, but the DVD has the movie in standard 3D and comes with four pairs of the multi-colored glasses (ya know, the ones that have one red lens and one blue lens). There is also a 2D version of the film in the 2 disc edition I got. I'm really looking forward to watching the movie again and seeing the special features (especially the alternate ending). Today is definitely a good day so far.

I have never even heard of another person with my name, but I have heard of several people with my father's name. He seems to have a somewhat common name (though the spelling of the last name seems to vary). There are other members of our family that have the same name as him (same goes with my brother), but there are non-relatives with the same name as well.

It depends where I am and who I am with. In general, I am a very shy person and don't like being the center of attention. However, if I am with close friends I don't mind being the center of attention every now and then.
